Description
Description
Super Geotextile 4 oz non woven geotextile is a double needle punched polypropylene filter fabric built for drainage. It lets water flow through fast while keeping soil and fines out of your gravel, so French drains, dry wells and drainage trenches keep working for years.
- Double needle punched non woven polypropylene – strong, dimensionally stable and easy to cut.
- High water flow – filters soil while letting water through (140 gpm/ft²).
- Puncture resistant – 300 lb CBR puncture rating protects against rock and roots.
- Mildew & rot resistant – made to last up to 50 years when properly buried.
- Many sizes – from 3' wide drain rolls up to wide pieces for big jobs, plus a 1' x 1' sample.
Common uses
- French drains & drainage trenches
- Dry wells & downspout drains
- Under gravel paths & patios
- Retaining wall drainage
- General landscaping

Installation tips
- Clear and smooth the area – remove sharp rocks, roots and debris.
- Roll the fabric out flat and snug, without wrinkles.
- Overlap seams 12–18 inches (more on soft ground or slopes).
- Pin the edges and seams to hold the fabric in place while you work.
- Place gravel or rock gently – don’t drop large rock from height onto the fabric.
Don’t forget the pins. Hold your fabric in place with our 6" galvanized circle top landscape pins or 11 gauge galvanized landscape staples.
FAQ
How do I figure out how much I need?
Multiply width x length for square feet, then add extra for seam overlaps and for wrapping up the sides of a trench. For a French drain, the fabric width should cover the bottom and both sides of the trench plus an overlap on top.
Woven or non woven?
Non woven is for drainage and filtration – water passes through quickly. Woven is for separation and stabilization under driveways and roads where water flow matters less.
Will this stop weeds?
It can help slow weed growth, but for planting beds our Pro Grade 5 oz weed barrier is the better choice.
Not sure which size?
Order a 1' x 1' sample first to see and feel the fabric.
