Description

Super Geotextile landscape staples are 6" U-shaped sod pins made from galvanized 11 gauge steel. Two legs grab the ground for a strong hold on weed barrier, landscape fabric, sod, irrigation tubing and more.

  • 11 gauge galvanized steel – thick, rust resistant staples that don’t fold over like thin wire.
  • 6" long, 1" wide – two legs for extra holding power.
  • Square-shouldered U shape – holds fabric flat and is easy to push in by hand or tap with a mallet.
  • Bulk value – 100 pack (about $0.18 each) or 1000 pack (about $0.12 each).

What they’re used for

  • Landscape fabric & weed barrier
  • Woven and non woven geotextile (driveways, French drains, under rock and rip-rap)
  • Erosion control blankets and straw mats
  • Drip line and irrigation tubing
  • Artificial turf and sod
  • Garden netting, ground cover, pet fencing and chicken wire

Choose your pack size

Pack Best for Approx. cost per staple
100 Pack Garden beds, small fabric jobs, drip line $0.18
1000 Pack Contractors, long fabric runs, sod and turf installs $0.12

Prefer a round head that won’t tear fabric? See our circle top landscape pins.

How many do I need?

A common rule of thumb: one every 3–5 feet along the edges and down any seams or overlaps. On slopes, in windy spots, or under erosion blankets, go to every 1–2 feet. Example: a 3' x 100' roll stapled every 3 feet along both edges uses about 70 – so a 100 pack covers one roll with a few to spare. Always follow the fabric or blanket maker’s spec if one is given.

Made to go with Super Geotextile fabric

We recommend these for our own woven geotextile, non woven geotextile and weed barrier fabric – add them to your fabric order so the whole job ships together.

Excellent landscape staples

I used the landscape staples to secure the landscape fabric in my front and back yards. These big long staples work great. The fabric can stay in its place. I haven’t had them long enough to see if they last. The product description says they are made from heavy-duty galvanized steel, but they didn’t advertise anti-rust like other products. Anyway, they probably will last longer than the fabric.

Much heavier and sturdier than I thought they would be

These are actually quite large and pretty heavy duty. They have a slight angle and sharpness at the ends; at times I wished it were more. Went through one sickness of the landscape fabric pretty easily, however, anywhere I doubled it I had to go through a layer at a time.Once started, they were easily pushed in with one's shoe.I only used a few at random intervals and without being covered up, they kept the landscaping fabric down even with some high winds.

Using these for everything

These are so easy and awesome to use. They just push into the ground. If the ground is packed then you will probably need a mallet to give a good whack to get it secured to the ground. Our soil is fairly soft, thanks a lot gophers, so they are easy to push in the ground with your fingers. A couple of places I just stepped on them with my foot and it went easy. None of them have bent or broken. They are holding garden netting, weed barrier, even some lightweight dog kennel fencing. The edges of the staple are cut at a slant and each side is cut at opposite directions. This staple has been in the elements for a while now and it's not rusting or corroding. It is just dirty from being in the ground. Where I pull the staples up with the netting and then replace them in the ground, they withstand multiple inserts. SO, these literally take a pounding. These are living up to everything they have promised to do and have exceeded my expectations. Homeowner approved!

Sturdy landscaping stakes

These 6 inch staples are great for using with solid to light gravel soil, gets deep enough to hold firm any type of landscaping paper. I would suggest if you have rocky soil to use the 4 inch staples.

Works as intended

These staples work as they should. They are easy to install with a hammer into weed barrier (what I used them for). Typically this type of staple comes in a box but these are in a plastic bag that zips shut. While this doesn't matter to me I do think it's worth knowing.

Super Heavy Duty

These are the best quality landscape staples I have used. Extra thick and shiny like stainless steel, the tines won't easily bend and can hammer straight into hard dirt. The ends are sharp. They slide right into clay soil with no issue but have a good grip and are hard to remove. There is exactly 100 staples in the set.

SUPERB Quality Landscape Staples

Wow - these are solid. These landscape staples put the stuff from the local hardware store to shame. The metal on these staples is thick and not easily bent. I have hard clay soil and it destroys the cheap cruddy kind of staples. They bend and crumple up before they ever penetrate the dirt. These staples have pointed ends and the metal is robust enough to actually be able to use these in harder soil types. If you have very heavy clay, I suggest wetting down the area to try and make it more workable before tacking these in.The staples are long and hold their position well. I can see the length of these also being very useful if you have a looser soil type since these will give you more depth to grab into the dirt.Great product. I'd definitely order these heavy duty landscape staples again. They did not disappoint.

Just what I wanted for my landscaping fabric.

Yes, there are better landscape staples out there, but these are inexpensive, and perfectly good enough for holding down my landscape fabric I use for gardening. I also have a couple of pop-up chicken runs I move around the yard, and I use these to hold them in place.

Gets the job done!

These staples worked fine for me. They aren't the highest quality But with that being said they got the job done around my house working with landscaping fabric. The value for the money to me is worth buying them again which I would.

Sturdy and easy to use

Used them in between the posts I have up with chicken wire. It prevents critters from pushing the chicken wire up and squeezing through and much cheaper and easy that adding a lot more posts.

We used these to pin down weed control fabric. Super easy to use, seem sturdier than others I've tried. Good value.

Great deal for a bag off 100 landscape staples

I purchased this bag of 100 staples along with a roll of landscape fabric from the same company.I used the fabric to cover a patch of land in between my driveway and a fence that just continually grows weeds. I cut the weeds back, but didn’t remove them all. I laid down the fabric and then used these staples along the whole distance. Worked great and wasn’t much trouble at all. I was surprised how easy it was.I think the price they’re asking for 100 is phenomenal. Great products from this company.

A must have for installing landscaping barrier

The product arrived quickly and was well protected in transit. These landscaping staples are easy to install with a rubber mallet or standard hammer. They are sturdy and do not bend when hammered. We installed fabric on a 20’ by 30’ area and put these staples every 12 inches on the perimeter and 24 inches in the middle overlapping seams.

Super sturdy

If you use lanscape fabric, you will definitely need landscape staples to hold it all in place. These staples are made of 11 gauge heavy wire molded into a U-shape for peak holding power. We used them on landscape fabric we put in for our beds that were being overrun by poison ivy and multiflora rose. Using a rubber mallet you can easily drive these down into most soils, We have some good Iowa topsoil and part of the property is heavy clay soil. It worked equally well for both - even with the high amounts of limestone deposits we have in spots. If you want to do the job right, have a pack of these on hand, you will definitely be glad you did.
